Updated 4/24/07 PEEWEE 1 QUICK VERSION Pee Wee 1 team won the Pee Wee Blue Championship. Defeated Salem NH 6 - 3 in semi-finals Friday. Beat Maine Breakers 4 - 2 for Blue National Title Saturday. Beat Saugus 8-3 tonight for Valley League Pee Wee Blue Championship. GET A LIFE VERSION Yes the Peewee 1 team won the 2008 Valley League Blue Championship but there's so much more to the story, let us explore... at left you see some pictures of the championship games and the outcomes. What you don't see may surprise you. It all started back in the summer of 2007 when many of the players played street hockey, went to hockey camps and did many other things to prepare for the season. They started about Labor Day last year and 6 months later this is what they achieved. They had early morning practices (6:30amYIKES!!), they came in cold weather, snowy weather, rainy weather, when they may not have wanted to come, but they did. They listened to the coaches, they worked hard, through good times and bad. They did everything the coaches asked for. They, of course thanked their parents for taking them all over the place to be at those practices as well as games. They also thanked their brothers and sisters who came to the games to support them in their quest. We see only a snippet of 3 periods in these pictures of their winning season. A picture is worth 1000 words, but we have millions of words we could say about them and the memories they made for themselves and families this year. We won't go that far... but we could. In the meantime we'll limit our words to a few. Great Job Peewee's, you earned this.
